Phoebe Deutsch is a visual artist working primarily in sculpture, painting, and installation. Her work explores the interconnectedness of natural systems. She believes that the natural world is not only an inherent part of us as human beings (and we of it), but that it is the original exquisitely sensitive mirror in which we find our own inner terrain and wildness reflected.
Phoebe’s work reflects a vision of what she calls “alluring speculation”, exploring life in its transitional states. She believes the act of adaptation is the great connector between humanity and the environment. There is still much to learn about the significance of such an intricate network, and this is what inspires her artwork.
